Help for Heroes
Hello and Welcome from Mongol Rally 2012!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am organising the mega task of doing a charity drive for the troops and in memory of my father Alan Richards (passed away 24/08/11). The Twist in the Story? In a Ice Cream Van! We are Called 4 Flake Sake! (Pardon the pun)
If you want to offer sponsorship for the journey itself i.e. donate some motor oil e.t.c. give me a call on 01304 842448
Priority Equipment Needed . Motor Oil . Compass . First Aid Kit. Water Barrel . Jerry Can x2 . Sleeping Bags x2 . Distress Flares . Foot Pump . Maps of Europe
I will be doing this drive which is over 10,000 miles in 4-6 weeks in length passing through countries and terrains of many kinds!
For e.g. From Czech republic to Kazakhstan and from country dirt tracks to desert mountain roads in the Gobi desert.
The reason behind this? To show I would go to the length of the world and back for my father and for the gallant troops of the UK!
My Target is to raise a minimum of £5,000 for help for heroes and £500 for the rally charity
Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.
Thank you for your support.
About Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes offers comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses whilst serving our country. This is provided through grants to individuals, other Service charities, capital build projects and our four Recovery Centres across the UK, in Catterick, Colchester, Tidworth and Plymouth. These will offer support for life. The money raised by the hugely generous public has been used to support our wounded, but there is still so much more to do. Soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will still need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives. They are still battling and we won't let them battle alone.
