Hello and Welcome from COBRA
Fundraiser 2011: A new 8 for CAIBC
We are asking old boys and friends for a single donation towards the purchase of a Rowing Eight in 2011. Currently these boats cost £19,000 therefore this will be the single biggest venture the Association has undertaken. We will of course be glad of any amount, but we have suggested amounts that could be donated and how many members would be needed to hit our target. An example can be seen in the images below.
If old boys could give £500 we would only need 41 donations to get the schoolboys this boat. However we realise that our members all have different circumstances and so we are suggesting donations ranging from £100 to £2000 and hope that you give whatever you can. This will be our only significant fundraising activity until 2014. We will not ask for money every year, so a donation of £500 is equivalent to £166 per year.
Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure - and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.
We hope that old boys will be able to support the current and future schoolboy rowers, just as previous old boys have supported the club throughout the years.

For more than 80 years Coleraine Academical Institution has maintained a strong, proud, rowing tradition, producing excellent crews that have competed successfully throughout Great Britain and Ireland. From CAIBC crews, old boy oarsmen have gone on to excel further in club and national crew boats basing their success on the comprehensive and complete rowing platform that they obtained, thanks to their experiences at CAIBC
COBRA was created in 2000 by a small group of ex-CAI oarsmen, with the objectives of supporting CAIBC through fundraising and coaching, and developing a network of CAI old boys. In 2003 the company “COBRA Ltd” was established as a non-profit organisation with charitable status.
