Hello and Welcome from Lisa Mckinlay
Sahara Challenge 2012
*update* Feb 2013
Sahara challenge was completed in October :) what a great challenge that was! Now on the 30th march I go to do the inca trail!
October 2013 I'm trekking Kilimanjaro.. Please help me raise targets.. It's a big ask I know, but every little helps..
Supporting the wounded soldiers and the families left behind... Like myself... Walking through my grief.. With no plans of stopping just yet...
Thanks so much.. I can never put into words how grateful I am for the support received xx
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Huge thanks for donating, I'm doing the Sahara trek with the undentable trust..a more than worthy charity..
I'm doing this in memory of my husband Jon who was killed in Afghan, Sept 2011..
How he will be laughing at what I have to come! ;)
Thank you for your support...

The Undentable Trust Sahara 2012
About The Undentable Trust (Sahara Challenge 2012)
You challenge yourself by completing a marathon distance a day for 5 days across the Sahara desert using an ancient trade route still used by nomadic Berber and Toureg tribesmen. Contending with the heat by day and the cold at night, you will hike across arid plains and over rocky mountains; past extinct volcanoes and dried up wadis Each day you will have to contend with the heat and the afternoon sandstorms that blow across the open desert to reach your camp for the night .!! No hotels or luxury for respite as each night will be under canvas as you prepare for the next days 7-8hr hike. The reward however will be clear skies at night under spectacular starry skies. The heat, distance and sand rubbing will trash your feet so prepare for many blisters as this will be par for the course!
It needs a great amount of self-discipline, determination and a will to reach the finishing line. The fact that you have asked for more details suggests that you are probably reasonably fit right now or have the right mental strength to prepare yourself for this challenge……….. This will test your physical fitness, mental strength and team skills – it will be unlike anything you have ever done and yoursense of fulfillment will be incredible. Whether you are young or old you will help families who have lost a fallen serviceman or woman and make a difference to their lives. We look forward to seeing you at the starting line as you join us for an experience of a lifetime.
