Shona Gwynne -
The MoonWalk Edinburgh 2009
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Well, I had to get to 40 before I walked through the streets of Edinburgh in my bra again!
19 days to go!
UPDATE: Would like to thank those donating:
Claire Venn
@wossy via twitter (jonathan ross and the lovely Jane who have supported every request, thank you)
Kay Saunders
Lucy Jeynes
tarts with hearts joining me on the 20th.
My Mum and Dad for coming to support me on the weekend (suspect it is to see the grandchildren more than their daughter jiggling about in a bra!)
Mark - for not taking things too seriously.
Sophie and Emma - especially Sophie for not dying of pre-teen embarassment when out training with me.
Also Caroline and Amanda - one for inspiring us all and the other for the way she tirelessly does more and more every year.
xxxx
Thanks for donating and this for all those ladies and their families that we know, love and have inspired us all.

A message from Walk the Walk
....join us for a "Highland Swing" at The MoonWalk Edinburgh!
This will be a night to remember when 12,000 women and men pound the streets of Edinburgh in their decorated bras... it could also be the night that you take your first step to being fitter and healthier and making a difference to the lives of many. In 2008 we raised over £2.7 million... with your help we can make an even greater difference in 2009!
Raise money, raise awareness, get fit and have fun!
Who are we?
10 years ago when just 13 women power walked The New York Marathon in their bras to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. What started out as a once only fundraising event has blossomed into a thriving charity raising to date in excess of £48 million for breast cancer research and cancer care. Our vision for the future is that one day our challenges will happen throughout the world on the same magnificent night making a difference too many!

Where does the money go?
We work with Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Penny Brohn Cancer Care, Maggies Centers, Breast Cancer Institute Edinburgh and we are also working with the NHS to put scalp coolers into hospitals.

How can you help?
We don't receive any grants or funds from the government, lottery or anyone else...all our fundraising is from all the wonderful women and men pounding the pavements all over the world. So if you are reading this then first of all make sure you donate to this walker! Once you've done that, why not come and be one of our volunteers - it's just as rewarding (and hard!) as taking part in a marathon!
