A message from Click and Jump

Just in case you are wondering why people are prepared to jump out of a plane to raise money for Hallam FM’s Cash for Kids:

• Set up in the 1970’s, they have raised millions to help disabled and disadvantaged children in the local area!

• Last year they raised over £350,000 and supported over 35,000 children

• Every penny raised stays in South Yorkshire and the North Midlands

• By supporting Cash for Kids you are actually supporting 100’s of local charities, individual children, community groups, children’s hospitals and hospices – who all apply to them for grants

• Grants they have given include communication aids for children with severe physical and learning disabilities, a ventilator for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, funds for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a computer for a child with cerebral palsy, and educational and play equipment for community groups

• 1in 5 children has difficulty learning to read, a child needs to be able to read by the time they are 7, or they will fall behind in all subjects, and may never catch up. Cash for Kids Read to Succeed project has also funded 50 teaching assistants who work in local primary schools with the most desperate need
