Promise Nepal works to support the world's most abandoned people - those who have been affected by the ancient disease of leprosy, and whose own families have therefore rejected them. We often find them abandoned by the wayside. We can arrest the progress of the disease within days, and then set about repairing the damage it has already done. Often this means teaching our patients to walk again, usually with custom-made surgical boots. Once rehabilitated our former patients can once more fetch water, tend their land, and seek work to support their families.

Every penny we raise goes directly to help a leprosy affected person, as we have no administration costs and pay our own travel expenses. We are a registered UK charity staffed by medical and other professionals who give our time for free, and our hospital in Kathmandu employs Nepali medical staff.
