Hello and Welcome from Cycling for Gaza 2009
THE FUNDRAISING TARGET IS £100,000.00
About Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)
MAP's humanitarian work is absolutely vital at this time and it is the support of donors such as yourself that allows that work to continue. As the first international aid agency to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, MAP has delivered over $500,000 worth of emergency aid in the form of drugs, medicines and hygiene kits, as well as mattresses and blankets for the displaced since 27th December. As the conflict has escalated, MAP, in conjunction with the WHO and the UN, is now playing a key role in the coordination of all medical supplies into and throughout Gaza, having set up storage depots and a team of pharmacists, emergency aid workers and logistics coordinators at the nine main hospitals. With the crisis in Gaza looking set to continue, and the long term effects to be devastating, we would like to draw your attention to a number of ways for you to raise money for MAP. To take part in any of these Challenges, please simply register to create a fundraising page and start fundraising (Click on "start fundraising" at www.bmycharity.com/map, or for skydiving, go to www.bmycharity.com/clickandjump). As soon as you have reached your fundraising target we can confirm your place on your chosen Challenge.Alternatively, you could support MAP by organising your own sponsored event. These can range from hosting a dinner party or film showing at your home, organising a concert or theatrical event at a local community centre, holding a jumble sale or raffle, or talking to your employer about a Corporate Matching scheme. For an unusual example take a look at Chris Boddington's fundraising pledge...Once again, please accept our thanks for your generosity; our work could not continue without your help.
