Hello and Welcome from Daniel Coetsee's Especially For You fund
Daniel is 13yrs old and was diagnosed with leukaemia on 13th October 2008, he is being treated at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
The event I am busy organising is to raise money for CLIC Sargent "Caring for Children with Cancer".
CLIC Sargent, have been wonderful in helping Daniel and I throughout his treatment and I would like to give something back to say thank you on behalf of Daniel and many other children living with various cancers on Ward E38.
Below is a short summary of what CLIC Sargent do:
Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support. That’s because we’re there every step of the way:
During treatment – providing specialist nurses, doctors, play specialists, Homes from Home
In hospital & at home – offering specialist social care and family support in the community – specialist youth services, holidays, grants, helpline
After treatment – helping survivors, supporting those bereaved, research
To date the total raised for Daniel's fund is £24,975.90 which is fantastic!
