Help for Heroes
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I set up and have been running an East Kent Police Football Team since 2008. We mainly play in Pitch Invasion 5 a side leagues but also have an 11 a side team which plays charity matches against various organisations.
We played the 5 Scots Army Regiment in 2011 with a 1-1 draw as the result and this year we have a match planned against the Ambulance Service at 12:00 on Sunday 8th April 2012 at Margate FC. We are also planning a match against East Kent Fire Service for later in the year.
We also host a charity 5 a side tournament and this year it is on Sunday 27th May 2012 at Aylesham Welfare Leisure Centre, Aylesham, Kent.
The more people that sponsor us and attend our matches, the more money we make for Help 4 Heroes. A charity close to the hearts of many police officers as a lot of officers have joined from various branches of the military.
Donating through this page is simple, quick and secure. It is the most efficient way to give – so every donation goes further – and if you are a UK taxpayer and give Gift Aid consent you will boost your donation.
Thank you for your support.
About Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes offers comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses whilst serving our country. This is provided through grants to individuals, other Service charities, capital build projects and our four Recovery Centres across the UK, in Catterick, Colchester, Tidworth and Plymouth. These will offer support for life. The money raised by the hugely generous public has been used to support our wounded, but there is still so much more to do. Soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will still need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives. They are still battling and we won't let them battle alone.
