Hello and Welcome from Harrys Driving Draw
Make a donation of £5 or more.All names will be placed in the draw and on Xmas Eve 2010 Harry will draw the name of the winner. The closing date is 16/12/10.
The course voucher can be redeemed during 2011. Prior to booking the course the pupil must have passed their theory test, I can provide help with this if required. Early planning for the course is necessary as we are bound by the DSA waiting lists for practical tests which can be up to 10 weeks.What do you get in the driving course? You would normally arrive on a Tuesday (this is variable with discussion) ready to start the course first thing Wednesday morning. Your accommodation will be Bed and Breakfast at one of the high quality establishments here in Weston-super-Mare. On the training days we will be stopping for lunch and I will cover the cost of this. Seven nights accommodation are included in the course with you taking your driving test the following Tuesday (if Tuesday arrival), the DSA fee for the driving test is being kindly donated by Learner Driving Centres to whom I am franchised. The exact establishment providing the accommodation will depend on availability subject to the course schedule which in turn is dependent on the DSA test date. The course itself provides 33 hours of one to one tuition in a modern dual controlled, air conditioned car with a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (myself). If the winner has no previous driving experience we start with a day on a specialist off road site where they can learn vehicle control and the basic road skills without having to be concerned about other traffic. After this there will be four 6 hour training days with a final day of 2 hours which will be the pretest lesson and the driving test. To reduce the pressure of the intense course the Sunday is a rest day which is why out of preference we usually start on the Tuesday so you have one final “fixing” day before your driving test. I use the Learner Driving System of Tuition which provides a workbook and DVDs before the course (sent to you when the course is booked) so that you get more time driving and less time listening to me explain what you are going to do. What is not included Your theory test fee or any theory test learning materials. Transport to and from Weston-super-Mare, though I will arrange to meet you in Weston to take you to your accommodation and return you to the bus or train station after your test. If the eventual winner resides within my normal catchment area I will provide daily transport from their home instead of residential accommodation. Accommodation is for one person but if you wish to be accompanied this can be arranged at the time of booking but the other persons costs are not included. (parents often wish to chaperone their 17 year old son/daughter on these courses) Evening meals are at your own expense but there are a range of high quality and reasonably priced restaurants within Weston town centre. Your lunch on the Sunday rest day is also not included. There is no cash alternative to this course nor is the voucher transferable to another person other than the one named on the voucher without my express prior consent.
How to donate Making a donation is easy just follow the instructions on this site, remember you will need put the name of the person you want to receive the driving course in the comment box if you want someone else to recieve the training. The minimum donation to be entered into the draw is £5 but you can donate more if you wish. You can make more than one £5 donation, separate donations of £5 will be regarded as multiple entries and will be recorded separately giving you a better chance of being drawn out on Xmas Eve for the prize which is worth around £1,000.
