Hello and Welcome from Jude Habib AKA TeamHabib
The 2010 Virgin London Marathon
I've done it!
On Sunday 25th April I did something that a year ago I would have never thought possible. I ran the London Marathon. Yes, ran all the way around the 26.2 mile course. It was a day that I will never forget. Even the early rain showers and cold couldn't put me off as we crossed the start line and I felt confident the whole way through that I would make it. It was a tough course but on the day it was less about how physically fit you were but how mentally prepared you were. I seemed to have found some inner strength from somewhere when all my legs wanted to do was stop. I'm thrilled by my finishing time but I'm most proud of actually getting to the day uninjured and raising lots of money for 2 amazing causes.
I want to say a final THANK YOU for all your messages of support and wishes over the last few months and your donations to my fundraising appeal. I've been overwhelmed by your generosity and kind wishes. They have made me laugh and cry but most importantly made me feel supported.
Although the race has now been run thanks for still sponsoring this challenge. Thank you all for being part of TeamHabib over the last few months and sharing this challenge with me. And I promise no more marathons!
