Help for Heroes
H4H Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2012
You've found me!!
So, I am undertaking the Help For Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2012 - 350 miles in 1 week through the WWI and WWII battlefields in Northern France and Belgium.
H4H deserves our wholehearted support as our injured servicemen and women need every bit of help we can give them, they do a job I could not do (indeed I am the first Bryant in many generations not to have had any military service). We recently discovered that I have 2 Great-Great Uncles who died on the Somme in 1916 so I shall value cycling there and beyond to Ypres. In particular we shall be going to Thiepval where I shall be able to pay my respects again.
Those who know me will be aware that I shall be going from no serious meaningful exercise in 2011 (or 2010 or 2009…) to this challenge, so it is going to be very hard; but it will be in a good cause.
I should be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring me. Every penny will be going directly to Help For Heroes to support our returning servicemen and women who have been injured on duty - as my wife and I are covering the event setup costs.
I intend to blog some of my experiences here in amongst my moans and groans about life and work. I intend to be more positive!
Donating here is simple, quick, secure and efficient. If you are a UK taxpayer please, please, please tick the box for Gift Aid consent as this will boost your donation by 25%!

About Help for Heroes
The charity Help for Heroes was launched in October 2007 in order to provide direct, practical support to those wounded, sick or injured in the line of duty since 9/11. All the funds raised to date are either allocated or spent on the direct, practical support of those wounded in the current conflicts. To date, H4H has funded a variety of projects including the £8m Rehabilitation Complex at Headley Court, a new £3.5m treatment centre for Combat Stress, adaptive adventure training through the Battle Back programme and the creation of a £6m Quick Reaction Fund to support individuals in need.
