The Living Room is a Hertfordshire based charity that provides support and therapy for families affected by addiction. We recognise that people can be addicted to a range of things including (amongst others) drugs, alcohol, overeating, under-eating, sex and love, online activities, gambling, exercise, computer games, self-harm and shopping/spending. As well as providing therapy, we support families and also provide an on-site crèche so that those with young children can attend our service. Our services are open five days a week and include group and one to one interventions. Up to 70 people a year leave us free of addictions. Each year many children in ‘looked after care’ are returned to parents who have gained recovery with us. Whilst many people re-enter employment, education; or see families once broken restored.
