Help for Heroes
We did it - we finally jumped on the 5th August - thank you for sponsoring us, we really appreciate it and are most grateful for all your support over the last few months.
Holly, Claire and Richard will require a change of underwear (or two!) on the 3rd August.
We have signed up to do a tandem skydive with the Red Devils for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes help the wounded servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan which is vital because while the Members of our Armed Forces do their best to restore some peace
and normality to a troubled country, we must continue to do our best to help those hurt while doing so.
You will all have read about the number of servicemen and women being killed in Afghanistan (currently 378 of which 290 are less than 30 years old – just imagine) but there are thousands being injured for which we do not always hear and they need vital treatment
and support. If you can spare just a few pounds to help those who fight for our country (as let’s be honest we wouldn’t do it) we can hopefully make a small difference to their lives. Please sponsor us. We aim to raise as much as possible therefore do not
have a target. Your generosity will determine our target!
Thank you in advance for your support we really appreciate it and if any of you wish to come and support us on the day we will be at South Cerney near Cirencester (moved from our original location of Neverathon airfield due to “artillery gun fire and helicopter
traffic” – something about safety! – you know how over protective the health and safety rules can be in this country....)

About Help for Heroes
The charity Help for Heroes was launched in October 2007 in order to provide direct, practical support to those wounded, sick or injured in the line of duty since 9/11. All the funds raised to date are either allocated or spent on the direct, practical support of those wounded in the current conflicts. To date, H4H has funded a variety of projects including the £8m Rehabilitation Complex at Headley Court, a new £3.5m treatment centre for Combat Stress, adaptive adventure training through the Battle Back programme and the creation of a £6m Quick Reaction Fund to support individuals in need.
