Frishta
Hello and Welcome from FRISHTA Children's Village ~ INDIA
Sponsor A Brick
For just £5 you can buy a brick and have your name, (or of your children or deceased loved one) listed in a frame placed in a prominent position in the hallway of the children's family home. We have set the cost at a level that is affordable for everyone and there is no limit on the number of bricks you can buy.
It will take 10,000 'bricks' at £5 each to pay for one family home in the Frishta Children's Village. So tell your family, friends and neighbours about this great opportunity to invest, not just in property, but in a child's life and get the greatest possible return on your investment!
Please leave a message with the name you would like to be displayed.
Thank you from Frishta
About Frishta
Whilst traveling in India in 1999, Nigel and Rachel Studley witnessed first hand the large numbers of Indian children who are abandoned, unloved and do not enjoy the most basic of rights, suffering from neglect, vulnerability and abuse. They sleep rough at roadsides and on station platforms.Frishta Children’s Village is a small charity founded in 2003 by the Studley’s and a group of friends who wanted to do something practical to help. We believe that all children are worthy of justice and respect, and that no child or situation is completely hopeless. F-rish-ta (means Angel), and our vision is to: 'Give children a home, an education, a hope and a future'. Frishta are committed to restoring children and helping them to gain an education, life and work skills that will take them off the streets and lift them out of the poverty-cycle.We will care for Indian street children and orphans by establishing the FRISHTA CHILDREN'S VILLAGE of small family homes, a medical clinic, a learning centre and sports & play facilities, opening in 2010. Children will be cared for by house parents, giving children the best possible care and start in life: Places will be offered free, based on need, not gender, caste, religion or race.
We are building a children's village for Indian street children.Living in a Frishta family home will transform their lives! The kids can play and be themselves without the fear of being beaten up.They can go to school – be able to read a book for the first time! They will get a good education, then a job and a place of their own to live.Frishta helps them escape the grip of poverty over their lives and become normal children again.Frishta: Giving street children a home, an education, a hope and a future!
