Trailwalker UK 2005
Hi everyone,
Well we made it. The weather was a trifle warm! The Gurkha's were very encouraging. We ate about a weeks supply of food in 24 hours. All of us are nursing blisters. But having said that we got round in 24 hrs and 28 mins, which we were very pleased with. Lots of people dropped out due to dehydration and some were hospitalised! Overall it was a fantastic experience, but don't ask me if I'm doing it again!!! We all owe a huge vote of thanks to our support crew without whom we'd still be walking round now! Cheers guys.

A message from Oxfam
Trailwalker - The challenge is for a team of 4 to walk (or run) across 100 kms of the beautiful South Downs countryside in less than 30 hours.
It is an amazing team challenge: to start together, stick together and finish together, completing the equivalent of 2.5 marathons over rough terrain.
Funds raised from Trailwalker UK are used to support the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Both organisations share a vision – to tackle poverty and suffering. The Gurkha Welfare Trust works in Nepal with Gurkha ex-soldiers and their wider communities. Oxfam also works in Nepal, and in more than 70 other countries worldwide, helping poor communities to build a better future.
