The Goldstar Girlies
The Playtex MoonWalk 2008
Five intrepid women from Goldstar Transport ,kate, amy, margaret, lynn and natalie
will be getting their Baps out on a saturday night, a normal weekend then! unusally instead of after several bacardi and cokes in Splitz bar, the girls will be getting em out in London on the Playtex Moonwalk to raise some money for the battle against breast cancer.
during the moonwalk they will be walking 13.1 miles which is no farther than they normally would walk for kebab and taxi!!
all joking aside it is a fantastic cause and as the water stations will need to serve G&T to encourage our team round please give generously so the organisers can recoup some of the cost of the bar bill

A message from Walk the Walk
The world famous Playtex MoonWalk in London is back!
This will be the night that Bollywood meets Rock n Roll...the night when 15,000 women and men will take on the challenge of a marathon or half in their bras....and the night when we will all be uniting against breast cancer and making a difference!
Raise money, raise awareness, get fit and have fun!
Who are we?
10 years ago when just 13 women power walked The New York Marathon in their bras to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. What started out as a once only fundraising event has blossomed into a thriving charity raising to date in excess of £48 million for breast cancer research and cancer care. Our vision for the future is that one day our challenges will happen throughout the world on the same magnificent night making a difference too many!

Where does the money go?
We work with Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Penny Brohn Cancer Care, Maggies Centers, Breast Cancer Institute Edinburgh and we are also working with the NHS to put scalp coolers into hospitals.
|

|
How can you help?
We don't receive any grants or funds from the government, lottery or anyone else...all our fundraising is from all the wonderful women and men pounding the pavements all over the world. So if you are reading this then first of all make sure you donate to this walker! Once you've done that, why not come and be one of our volunteers - it's just as rewarding (and hard!) as taking part in a marathon!
