Hello and Welcome from Simon Hughes
2010 Virgin London Marathon
Welcome to my little corner of this fundraising site.
I am running the 2010 Virgin London Marathon for the charity Children with Leukaemia.
It makes sense that I am running this marathon due to myself and the marathon being so similar for so many reasons. For instance, it is being sponsored by Virgin, and I am a....oh...um OK. Oh, and it is 26.2 miles long. The EXACT distance that the court told
me I have to stay away from Megan Fox. Coincidence?
OK, so that is two reasons. Picky aren't you?!
But regardless of the joking side, this is a serious charity which needs the help of people like me and you. Maybe you have children that are well. Maybe you don't have children at all. Maybe you are one of the people that this charity is here to help. I am
going to put my body through a world of pain to complete this marathon aswell as sponsoring myself. I am not going to jog it and enjoy the scenery. I want to raise a substantial amount of money (at least £2000) and am putting myself through the paces to do
it. All you have to do is donate what you can afford.
Maybe you can afford £26. £1 per mile. Or £52. £2 per mile or even...ummm...yeah I should have turned up at Math class more often. But you get the idea. Hell, maybe you can only afford to give £5 at this moment in time. That also is fine. Maybe you want to
donate £5 a month until April when I do the race?
Whatever you choose to donate The Children's leukaemia society and I will appreciate every single donation/penny. Even just a few pounds will go along way towards helping children and their families afflicted by this terrible illness so please sponsor me and
together we can make a difference.
This is not just for British people. You might be American. European. From the moon. Whatever currency you have and wherever you live, you can still make a donation.
The site is safe and secure and no dodgy bloke will ask for a forward fee in return for lots of money in return! It's just a good oldfashioned charity site. So. What is stopping you?
