THE CHALLENGE:
A group of players from Westoe Rugby Club will be completing the 3 peaks challenge on 11th/12th August 2012. The aim is to complete the challenge in under 20 hours - a time deemed as 'exceptionally fast' by the founders of the event, and a time which will ensure the team are pushed to their limits!
The team will be supported by SRX Security and Abacus Care North East, who have provided funding for the event ensuring every penny raised goes straight to Hire a Hero.
About Hire a Hero
Hire a Hero (HAH) is a new Forces charity. We aim to support Army, Navy and Air Force leavers past, present and future settle into civilian life. Forces families will be assisted with employment, training, housing and care plans.
Ex-Forces personnel often experience frustration and seemingly insurmountable difficulties in these areas. We aim to break down barriers and help them access the services and support they are entitled to. HAH is committed to developing partnerships with UK businesses, housing executives, medical bodies and other charitable organisations. We aim to help Forces families enjoy a better quality of life by raising awareness of the skills and qualities of service leavers.
